What is Coastbook?

Coastbook is a complete beachbed booking management platform for beaches, beach bars, and resorts. Through an interactive map, your customers can view your beach layout, choose their preferred beachbeds, and complete their reservation online in seconds. You get a full dashboard with a booking calendar, detailed analytics, zone and pricing management, and automated customer notifications.

How do I sign up and get started?

Signing up is quick and free. Click "Get Started Free", create your account, and add your business. Then use the Map Editor to design your beach layout — create zones (e.g. front row, VIP, near the bar), place beachbeds, and set prices. Once you're ready, click "Publish" and your booking page is live.

How much does Coastbook cost?

We offer different plans depending on the size of your business. Every plan includes a free trial so you can test the platform with no commitment. See all plans and pricing on our Pricing page. There are no hidden fees — the price you see is what you pay.

How do I accept payments from customers?

Coastbook supports three payment modes: online only (via Stripe), on-site only (the customer pays at the beach), or both. For online payments, connect your Stripe account from the Payments page in your dashboard — the process takes just a few minutes. Funds are deposited directly into your own Stripe account. Credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are all supported.

Does it work on mobile?

Absolutely. Both the management dashboard and your customer-facing booking page are fully responsive and work perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktops. The platform also works as a PWA (Progressive Web App), meaning you can add it to your phone's home screen like a native app — no app store download needed.

How does the interactive map work?

The Map Editor uses satellite imagery of your location via Mapbox. You create color-coded zones (e.g. blue for the front row, green for the second row), place beachbeds on the map with drag & drop, and set prices per zone. Customers see the same map when booking — available beds appear in green, booked ones in red. They can tap on a bed to see it on the map and reserve it.

What languages are supported?

The platform supports over 14 languages, including Greek, English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Dutch, Croatian, Thai, Indonesian, and Filipino. The language is automatically detected from the customer's browser settings but can be changed at any time. All content — bookings, emails, notifications — is automatically translated.

How can a customer cancel a booking?

After completing a booking, the customer receives a confirmation email that includes a cancellation link. By clicking the link, they can cancel immediately. As the business owner, you can also cancel or modify any booking from your dashboard. For online payments, refunds are processed through Stripe.

Can I set different prices for different periods?

Yes. In addition to base prices per zone, you can create Price Overrides for specific date ranges. For example, you can set higher prices for August or weekends and lower prices for early and late season. Prices are applied automatically — the customer always sees the correct price for their selected date.

Can my staff view the bookings?

Yes. Every business automatically gets an Overseer (beach attendant) account with separate login credentials. The Overseer can view the daily booking calendar — which beds are reserved, customer details, and payment status. They cannot access settings, pricing, or financial data. The login credentials are found in Business Settings and can be regenerated at any time.
